I have been CrossFitting Since 2009. I was bored of the same old push this, pull that, spend 1+ hour at a gym scenario. I was introduced to CrossFit from a friend/co-worker. I was VERY intimidated at first seeing a bunch of people performing all of these convulsive pull ups, swinging weights, and upside down on walls and such. However, the friendly open and welcoming atmosphere just sucks you in and keeps you going. No one is too big, too small, too slow, or too fast. Egos have no place in CrossFit and everyone is there to push and work and a friendly environment and that is why I have not looked back. I still run and I still lift weights, but I always incorporate CrossFit into my solo workouts because it works so well.
I don’t have a favorite WOD. There are some I hate miserably, but that makes me want to push it to the limit, which is good for my mind and body. No matter how miserable, how hard, just never, ever give up…ever!
Other than CrossFit, I like to Run, Hike, Camp, Kayak, Fish, and spend time with family & friends. I am a practical joker and love a friendly prank now and then. Really, I just love to laugh and laugh with others. Lastly, I am known Mr. Accident Prone….DANG YOU box jumps!
