Will I get big and bulky?  It’s a common concern among women new to our gym and rightfully so since we are bombarded with images of women who are either skinny fat OR women who look like they are one mustache away from being a man.   Check out the following article from Mark’s Daily Apple on women and strength training.  I can ASSURE you that no woman will come out of our gym looking like the images below.

In reference to the image on the left, NO woman naturally produces enough testosterone to elicit this type of response in her body.  Below you will find images of what CrossFit and proper nutrition can do for the female body.

    Worked out at 6:30 this morning with Kristin. Not sure I was quite awake and I had not eaten. Not sure I’ll be back at that time!! Loved the workout, although I totally blew off the Cashout portion!

    Be sure to welcome the new faces to West End CrossFit! Jess, Paul, Chris and Ashley are official graduates of the On-Ramp Class. David will be ready for group classes by the end of the week! We are also excited to welcome Chaney for the summer. She will be leaving us in August to play volleyball for UNC Chapel Hill. Chaney, I can’t think of a better way to prepare for college ball!
