Thursday 4-5-12

By Jen | In WOD | on April 4, 2012

AMRAP 20 min
400m Run
35 Double unders
7 Knee to elbow

Check out this post from CrossFit Hollywood on Gym Etiquette .  The post is absolutely hilarious BUT holds MANY truths.  Read it!

Check out the following quote from Khepri.  Her son Elijah recently started our teens program…
“People ask me what Crossfit is and it’s hard for me to explain. It’s the place I go to challenge myself and get challenged, to feel so sore yet so good at the same time and to build the confidence I lost somewhere along the way. But, today, Crossfit wasn’t about me. It’s about the 14yo kid that found his confidence. I haven’t seen him be so impressed by something he’s done. Thanks to Jen and Tim of West End CrossFit my shy and quiet boy did 20″ box jumps and double unders for the first time and he is thrilled! As much as I am proud, I am jealous 🙂 Thanks for all you do, it’s priceless.”

I think Khepri’s post above pretty much sums it up. So proud of Elijah and all the kids/teens and especially Jen and Tim (and the awesome parents) for showing everyone what a positive role model really is. I couldn’t be more excited for Elijah and his accomplishments. It’s nice to leave the gym and feel proud of yourself for doing something right, increasing weight, PR’ing, etc. As if there was any doubt, this is just another sign that you guys at WECF are doing things the right way!

Khepri, that is so great! It’s amazing what a confidence builder CrossFit is – to be able to say, “I did that!,” no matter what age. Good for you guys!
