  • 3/18/14: Join us Thursday night at the gym for the CrossFit Open WOD 14.4 announcement! We will stay open after the 6:30 class and the announcement will be at 8pm. Again, feel free to brings snacks and a beverage of your choice. Reminder: Be sure to complete 14.4 during regular gym hours, as there is no local hosting this weekend. CrossFit Midlo will host 14.5 on 3/29.
  • 4/5/14: SAVE THE DATE! Celebrate with us as we host a “sprinkle” for Coach Brian and Rebekah to welcome Baby Wrenn! 3:30 pm @ WECF. More details to follow.
  • Cow share: Let me know if you’re interested in beef from our local guy, Tony, at Sunnyvale Farms. Portions are $187.50 for 25lb portions of grass fed, grass finished beef. Approximately half of each portion is ground beef and the remainder is steaks and roasts, individually packaged and frozen. I’ll find out what’s available/when soon.
  • 5/10/14: Team SuperFit Roanoke – We have two partial teams signed up so far. Red and Mike Z need 2 female RX or novice to complete their team, and Rick, George and Ashley need another female novice. Let me know if there are additional teams in the works or if you’re looking for a team. We’re working on getting a new whiteboard set up to display competitions. I will also maintain the list on Google drive and all are welcome to use/edit this.
  • 6/14-6/15/14: Tough Mudder Virginia – I know we have some WECFers signed up for this. Who’s in??
  • Andrew Elmore, along with his coworkers at Dominion Digital are participating in the St. Baldrick’s campaign to raise money for Childhood Cancer Research. In exchange, he will have his head shaved at the Irish Festival in Church Hill on March 22nd. To make the cut even more drastic, Andrew will be growing his hair out until the 22nd. We’ll be sure to share some before and after pictures! For more information, visit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Even better, click HERE to donate!
